Beach-Ready Amazon Finds

 Hey y'all!

I'm so excited to FINALLY go on a vacation! The past year has been so hard on everyone, and I know we're all feeling the travel bug. Since we're all vaccinated and enjoying #ShotGirlSummer (because getting vaccinated is your duty as a good/kind/caring human being), I'm going to South Padre Island with my in-laws next month!

Since I haven't been to the beach in what feels like 100 years, I stocked up on some new things. Everything linked is under $40. I guess this is also a great update to add to my capsule wardrobe series since they're all basic items I can easily rewear and reuse.

The 5 Best Apps to Kill Time Without Internet

Hey y'all!

It's officially the holiday season!!! Now before you roll your eyes and grumble to yourself that skipping over Thanksgiving and heading straight into Christmas is one of the most annoying things ever --- let me just stop you right there. I consider the "holiday season" to include Thanksgiving. When it's December, that's Christmas season. So don't worry your pretty little head!

But back to what I was saying, it's holiday season which means lots of traveling for most of us. If you live far from home or are planning on taking a trip, then you'll probably be flying. And unfortunately, not every single plane has wifi (..yet). So what exactly are you supposed to do with all that free time without being able to scroll through Instagram?

Well, you could listen to some podcasts. But if you're not into that kinda thing, then you've obviously stumbled upon the right blog post! I get a tiny bit anxious on planes, so I always make sure to have a few apps installed that don't require internet to access. If I'm feeling like I'm about to freak myself out, I'll put in some headphones and get to work de-stressing. I hope these can bring you a little bit of nostalgia for those OG iPhone games.

Just don't forget to download the games BEFORE you board the plane, ya know, since you won't have internet ;)

How I Travel with Pets (And How You Can Too!)

Hey y'all!

I'm a 21-year-old college student with two pets. It's a little hectic at times, but I wouldn't trade it for the world! I have a 20 lb cat and a 5 lb dog (yep, you read that right). Both of them have traveled a ton and I'd like to think that I have a pretty good routine down.

Now that I'm thinking about it, they've both been to 7 states, and I've only had my dog for 4 months. And most of the time that I'm traveling, I'm usually doing it solo. So if you're heading on vacay soon and want to take your fluffy friend with you, seriously, take my advice.

Also, just for reference since I will be talking about them a lot -- Denny is my cat and Peanut is my dog!

The 10 Best Podcasts for a Road Trip

Hey y'all!

Next week is spring break (at least for me)!!! Michael and I are heading to Texas to road-trip around the state. We're hitting San Antonio and Dallas while we're there and I'm so so excited. Instead of trying to scan the radio for a new station every 10 minutes or trying to muddle through Spotify's ads, we prefer to listen to podcasts!

I know that there are plenty of other people that are always looking for new podcasts to listen to, so I figured that I would share some of my favorites with y'all! I definitely want to find some more podcasts to get into, so be sure to share yours down in the comments!
