The 10 Best Podcasts for a Road Trip

Hey y'all!

Next week is spring break (at least for me)!!! Michael and I are heading to Texas to road-trip around the state. We're hitting San Antonio and Dallas while we're there and I'm so so excited. Instead of trying to scan the radio for a new station every 10 minutes or trying to muddle through Spotify's ads, we prefer to listen to podcasts!

I know that there are plenty of other people that are always looking for new podcasts to listen to, so I figured that I would share some of my favorites with y'all! I definitely want to find some more podcasts to get into, so be sure to share yours down in the comments!

David Dobrik and Jason Nash are two of my all-time favorite YouTubers. This podcast dives deeper into their interesting sense of humor. You definitely don't have to watch their channels in order to find their conversations relatable. David loves to argue over topics that they know nothing about (like birth control and prison), but I'm always left with my stomach hurting from how hard I was laughing.

Like creepy stories, but don't want to get too scared? Then this is the perfect podcast for you! In fact, it's frequently listed in the comedy top 10 charts. Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark share their favorite murder stories to each other. They have plenty of witty banter, and it feels like you're listening in to two besties just chatting.

Every had a question that you never thought you'd find the answer to? Well, this podcast will leave you with lots of random information that you probably won't ever need but could be cool to bring out during a trivia game. The latest episode? It's all about sea-monkeys.

The first thing I do every single morning is check my email to read the Skimm newsletter. I think it is so important to stay up to date with what the heck is going on in the world, but I don't like spending a long amount of time searching through news sites to find the information I'm looking for. It takes me less than 5 minutes to read the email every morning so I highly recommend signing up!

But this podcast actually focuses on the co-founders/co-CEOs sitting down with powerful female leaders to talk about their successes, failures, and everything in-between. It's super inspiring, and I'm all about women supporting women!!

Jordan Younger really makes you feel like she's your best friend. She is open and honest about her life, and doesn't shy away from talking about her eczema or illnesses! She talks about everything from health and wellness to spirituality and crystals. Her voice is so relaxing, and I love listening to this podcast in particular when I just want to relax.

I loved her in the House Bunny, and I love her now. Anna Faris spends most of the interview speaking to celebrity guests that you actually want to know about. The last part of the podcast is spent answering listeners' phone calls asking for relationship advice. She understands that she's probably not qualified for it, but it's still fun to listen to!

Whether you need some help with self-love or just want to live a happier and healthier life, then you will be obsessed with this podcast. Lori Harder makes me want to be a better person and get my butt into gear! She has a lot of great book recommendations and often interviews the authors of them. She has a few of her own books as well that I hope to pick up soon!

If you're interested in the minimalist lifestyle, then I first recommend watching their documentary on Netflix! It really made me think about the items that I was holding onto in my home. Not the mention,  Joshua Field Millburn, and Ryan Nicodemus both seem like some genuine sweet souls. The podcast covers all sorts of questions that people have about their lives and how they deal with things. I highly recommend if you're interested in living with less!

If you're plant-based like me, then this is a great option. Rich interviews different influential people to help you be inspired to live your best life. He discusses health, fitness, and motivational topics. He has quite a few cookbooks too!

If you've ever been on YouTube, then you've probably heard of Jenna Marbles. Not only do her and Julien have the cutest relationship ever, but they also host a weekly podcast! They honestly talk about everything and anything, so I can't tell you exactly what kind of topics they cover. If you like her personality, then you should like listening to this!

  1. If you're okay with a little rude/adult humor, the comedy podcasts Spilled Milk and Hello From the Magic Tavern are amazing!
