Fall Excitement

Hey y'all!

Normally, I would be the last person to gush over fall sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes, but this is the first year that I have actually been excited for the leaves to start changing color. Now, granted, in Texas, you can't exactly bundle up in puffer vests and riding boots 24/7 during fall because some days it will go from 50 degrees in the morning to 85 in the afternoon. But despite the weather, I try to still participate in fall activities!

The first two photos in this post are of an adventure to a pumpkin patch. We had a blast picking out pumpkins and of course, didn't miss out on the great photo opportunity. Although our carving skills weren't the greatest, it was definitely a great experience.

Next up, I found a wonderful dupe for the Frye flat riding boots by Carlos Santana! They are almost the exact same boot but for a much nicer looking price tag. They're such a classic staple piece that you really cannot go wrong.

Last but not least, my friend, Megan, and I decided to be your typical 'frat boy' for Halloween last year. But instead of trick-or-treating, we handed out the candy to all of the adorable kiddos that were dressed up.

Five Easy Tips on How to Relax

Hey y'all!

Back to school is usually a stressful time for everyone. I actually have just begun my senior year of high-school, and although my classes may not be super challenging, applying for colleges/scholarships can really stress a girl out. So I figured, why not share with my readers a few ways that I relax when my mind is on overload?

1. Create a "zen zone"- A designated clutter-free, quiet space where you can go to just think is surprisingly helpful. Sometimes having an area all to yourself is just necessary.

2. Get organized - This can also go along with number one. Whether it be clearing out your desk, closet or even old school folders, organization can help you keep on top of things. It makes it a lot more simple to follow tasks and assignments. TIP: try buying an agenda or desk calendar to mark important dates!

3. Exercise - By exercise, I don't mean you have to do a full cross fit circuit or even a marathon (unless that's what you're into, then by all means, go ahead!). Yoga, stretching, and even just dancing around your room to your favorite songs are fun examples.

4. Try a few breathing techniques - Here are three simple examples that you can do at home! It is surprising at how calming this is.

5. Sip on some green tea - Unless you've been living under a rock, everyone knows the simple health benefits of drinking green tea. Not only does it taste delicious and mellow you out, but it helps fight skin impurities all at the same time. (Bonus points if it's from Panera!)

Hey y'all!

My absolute favorite purchase of all time has to be my Jack Rogers. (If you're new to my blog, then you'll soon learn how in love with them I truly am.) Although I only own one pair--the classic Palm Beach Navajo Sandal in white--, I definitely will be purchasing more. One hundred and ten dollars may seem steep for a pair of sandals, but I, for sure, have got my money's worth out of them.

I have owned my sandals for over a year and they are still in great condition. I've worn them to the beach, dinner dates, and even just while running errands. I never fail to get compliments on them.
