Lauren James Co.

Hey y'all!

ANOTHER POST ABOUT T-SHIRTS SARAH?!?!? Yes, ma'am! A girl can never have too many. For all you southern sweethearts out there, here's one of the cutest companies around, Lauren James!

Lauren James Co. was founded mid 2013 by registered nurse turned fashion designer, Lauren Stokes. Inspired by the classics and driven by modern styling, Lauren strives to capture a look that's unique yet timeless.

Although I already own the Heart of Texas long sleeve tee, I could resist ordering another one of these preppy shirts!

I actually just ordered this shirt myself!

Here are a few others items that I absolutely love!!

What's your favorite item from Lauren James? Do you own any items?

T Shirt Overload

Hey y'all!

Just like every other girl, I'm a huge fan of comfy clothes. My outfit of choice is usually always an oversized tee with a pair of Nike shorts. Hate me all you want. You can even be funny annoying by asking me if I'm wearing pants, but I'm the one who can just lay down in bed after school, while you'll have to change out of your polo and cargo shorts (honestly, why are you still choosing to wear those).

I'm going to let you in on a little secret of mine. It's where to find the best comfy clothes. Trust me when I say you'll want to pin this post to keep for later.

I posted this picture to my Tumblr, and in came a huge wave of "where did you get that SEC shirt?!?"

Believe it or not, the SEC online store has some pretty adorable shirts for supporting your team!

Now, I do realize that this is an older shirt and it's missing a few teams from the list..but let's just be honest with each other and admit that the only important one is up top (roll tide).
And yet, another wonderful photo from my Tumblr!

Yes, Fraternity Collection has some of the comfiest t shirts available. (Could it be because they're comfort colors??)

I have created quiet the collection of 'frocket shirts' from this lovely online store. They have a ton of different options to chose from, but be sure to check out their American pride choices! A few of my favorites are The Regan, The 1776, and The Patrick

If you're in the market for something customizable, take a peek at their website! Their tops are super affordable so maybe even get a few...

Okay so this one didn't go viral on Tumblr, sorry! I have to admit that this shirt is definitely on the thinner side, but I still think that Southern Proper has some great t shirt designs that are extremely witty. Unfortunately this design in particular one is sold out on their website but there are plenty of other clever designs. Don't forget to check out their sale section online!

If you're looking for a website that sells more than one brand, then Country Club Prep is a great place to get graphic tees from. It's super easy to find coupon codes, and they're usually always having some sort of deal or promotion. Definitely check out their clearance section for some major savings.

DIY LUSH-inspired Bath Bombs

Hey y'all!

Julia and I set out on a mission to make a DIY blog post this week. We spent at least an hour scavenging through my Pinterest boards, but we couldn't seem to find anything. When we were finally ready to give up, we decided why not figure out a recipe on how to make homemade bath bombs?

1 cup baking soda
1 cup citric acid
3/4 cup cornstarch
1/4 cup sea salt
4 colors of food coloring
4 different essential oils
1 spray bottle
1 muffin pan

1. mix all dry ingredients together
2. separate equally into four bowls
3. fill spray bottle with water and add food coloring
4. stir while spraying color into the bowl. Don’t spray too much water or it will begin to fizz and expand!
5. add a few drops of essential oil
6. press mixture into muffin pan
7. wait 24 hours for bath bomb to set and harden

We went to Kroger to gather ingredients. It took us a lot longer than it should have because we couldn't find Citric Acid. Here's a tip: No, IT IS NOT LEMON JUICE. Yes, it is sold in stores. It will be near the canning stuff (like for people who can their own vegetables and fruits).

Before placing each bomb into the muffin pan, we lined each individual slot with plastic wrap. It makes it a lot easier to clean up and it just avoids having a bath bomb getting stuck and falling apart. Not to mention it came in handy when we had an explosion.

Let me tell you though DO NOT ADD TOO MUCH WATER. It really will cause the bath bomb to expand and start fizzing. We ended up having to throw away our whole batch of purple bombs because they started overflowing into the other colors.

So as you can see, we used purple, pink, blue and green food coloring. We even decided to try and match our essential oils to the color so that when taking a bath, you don't have to smell it to figure out which one it is!
  • Purple = Lavender
  • Green = Eucalyptus
  • Pink = Joy (essential oil mixture)
  • Blue = Lemon

Lilly Pulitzer's After Party Sale

Hey y'all!

On Monday morning, my alarm was set at exactly 6:45 am. For what, you might ask? The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale, of course! I sat there constantly refreshing my page, checking for Twitter updates, just waiting for my chance to start shopping the sales!

Luckily, I was one of the first people to get through the site but it was not all smooth sailing. Countless times I received the error page and it seemed as if I clicked the refresh button an infinite amount of times, but I was determined to get my deals. I purchased three items for a total of $126. For Lilly Pulitzer, I'd consider that a great price.

So here are the items that I purchased!

Gigi Top in Electric Feel

Elsa Top in Entourage

The Preston Dress in Entourage

My items arrived quickly and I received them on Thursday! Unfortunately, the Preston Dress did not do me justice. So I have listed it to sell so another Lilly lover can enjoy it! But the Elsa and Gigi top are perfect and I can't wait to wear them when the weather starts warming back up!

Did you buy anything from the sale? What was your opinion on the items? Which one of my purchases is your favorite?

MY 2015 New Year's Resolution

Hey y'all!

First of all, Happy New Year! I hope you all had a safe and wonderful night. Today is the day everyone starts their journey toward accomplishing a goal. My resolution this year? Well, I have a few!

My first resolution is to write a blog post ONCE A WEEK. This one will be extremely hard for me because I seem to always draw a blank when trying to come up with something to post or write about. But I really would like to keep up with it this year!

I also plan on eating healthier this year. In no way am I considering it a 'diet', but I'm going to cut down on the amount of sodium and sugar I eat. And sadly, that means cutting down on eating Chick Fil a.

This one is a bit odd but I want to start saving money by couponing! My very kind mother gave me a little portfolio and everything for storing my coupons in. Once I get started, I'll try to share some of my great deals and how to score some for yourself!

Lastly, I want to stay organized and learn how to properly study for school. This semester I'm taking AP Government and I'm going to use that to my advantage before I start college.

What's your New Year's Resolution?
