Sit Down with Sarah | Vol. 1

Hey y'all!

So I've seen tons of different bloggers do things like Friday Five or Friday Chit-Chat or things along that line where they basically talk about things going on in their life or things they're loving lately.

I really enjoyed writing one of my recent post because it allowed me to share a side of myself that isn't always seen whenever I'm writing about college advice and such. Basically what I'm trying to tell you is that I'm starting this new series on my blog called Sit Down with Sarah (so that means I'll be posting twice a week, yay!) where I'm going to be a little more personal with my readers.

A quick little run down : Every Friday, I'll be sharing at least five things that I've deemed important from my week. This could be something I've cooked, a big life event, or a recent purchase! I thought it would be a great way for y'all to get to know me a little better. 😊

Anyways, let's get into the first ever SDWS!

1. Baked Sweet & Sour Cauliflower by Creme De La Crumb
Last Friday, Michael and I tried out this recipe that I've had on my pinterest board forever. I usually try out a new recipe once a week. Being a vegan has allowed me to learn how to cook fun things that I probably would have never tried out otherwise.

It was seriously so easy to make and I had pretty much every single ingredient already in my pantry, so it was relatively inexpensive as well, which is great for a college student budget. It also allowed me to try out my new rice cooker! We both thought it was super yummy, and we'll be adding it to our list of go-to dinners whenever we're in the mood for something a little different!

2. Show Me Your Mumu Easy Cardi
I have been searching for this cardigan forever. It's been sold out for quite a few seasons now, but I knew I had to have it. I searched poshmark pretty much every single day, and I was lucky enough to snag this bad boy for myself. SMYM does have a few similar bullhead designs, but if you ever come across this one, BUY IT. It's so comfy, but it's still light weight. The colors go with everything, which is kind of surprising considering it's a giant skull. All I can say is that I'm so happy I finally own it!

3. Look What You Made Me Do - Taylor Swift
Unless you've been living under a rock (like my mom apparently), then you've heard this song. Although I'm not the biggest fan of the chorus, I am OBSESSED with the pre chorus. When she says "I rose up from the dead, I do it all the time", I seriously can't help but sing along!

And can we talk about the music video? I'm all about conspiracy theories and hidden meanings, and after reading this article, I can't stop seeing all the things TS snuck into the background. I cannot wait for the full album to drop in November!

4. BurgerFi + Beyond Meat Burger
So a few months ago, I found out some really exciting news. The Beyond Meat Burger was going to be officially sold at all BurgerFi locations!! If you have no idea how exciting this is, then let me explain. Most fake meat burgers are super dry and bland, but not the BM burger. It's actually pink on the inside when you cook it. And you don't even need ketchup to make it juicy (and that's coming from a girl who puts #KetchupOnEverything).

Living in Alabama and being a vegan, I'm limited to where I can go to eat at a restaurant. But now I can finally add another place to my list! Michael and I went for dinner last night and I ate it too fast to get a picture, oops. Anyways, even if you're not a vegan, you should at least try this burger!! You won't be disappointed.

5. Instagram
I've been trying to figure out a "theme" forever. Basic, I know, but I just love scrolling down people's insta and seeing a cohesive color scheme. I think I've finally found the perfect one! It's rich brown + gold + white + black. We'll see how long it lasts because I have a habit of breaking them really quickly. If you notice the theme, go comment a ☕️ on my most recent photo. It'll be our little secret.

I hope y'all enjoyed this first SDWS! I had so much fun writing it and I can't wait to keep up with this series.
