Sit Down with Sarah | Vol. 7

Hey y'all!

I've been traveling a lot lately because it's that time of the year when I get a lot of breaks in between classes. I can't wait to update y'all on everything that I've been loving lately, plus all the fun stuff that I have up to!

1. I Got a Tattoo!!! (Can be seen above)
A year ago, I adopted my sweet pup, Peanut! Does anyone else remember that SDWS post?? I wrote a long sappy post on Instagram, but basically, I love this dog more than anything. She brings me so much happiness and I couldn't imagine life without her. I've always known that I wanted a tattoo at some point in my life, and a few months ago I decided that it should be Peanut's paw so that she would always be with me, no matter what. And so on the exact day that we brought Peanut home, I got a tattoo! It's her actual print as well, not just a generic paw print! I'm so happy with it and I kind of already want more hehe...

2. You are a Badass
Well, you are, okay? If you've never heard of this book by Jen Sincero, then you're missing out. This month, we decided to read You Are a Badass in my virtual book club! I got it for Christmas a few years ago but never truly took the time to sit down and dig deeper into it. I sat down every night with my trusty yellow highlighter and just tried to absorb as much self-help goodness that I could. I really feel like it has helped me put things into perspective and help me realize self-deprecating habits that I've been holding on to.

If you're interested in reading more books like this and discussing it with like-minded friends, be sure to join in for next month's book! We'd love to have you!

3. Rose Quartz Face Roller
My very sweet mother sent me a package the other day in the mail. I shared a photo of it on my Insta-story and was instantly bombarded with dm's about "what is it?" "how do you like it?" "how do you USE IT?' Well, firstly, it's a rose quartz face roller! I personally really love to use it to apply my face oils / serums at night. I feel like it absorbs better into my skin rather than my finger tips soaking up and taking away all the good stuff from the oils.

It's also beneficial to just roll your face for 5-10 minutes a day to get the blood circulating. If you're all woo-woo like me, then you'll know that rose quartz is a high vibe crystal that promotes self-love and positive energy. It's all about healing, so it's the perfect material for a face roller to help regenerate new skin cells and help blood flow!

4. Last Semi-Formal
Michael and I are not the "going out" type. We like to sit at home with our pets and watch Netflix. But on the rare occasion of a date party, we dress up and drag out butts out. This was my last real "dressed up" event of college. It was a Great Gatsby themed semi-formal. It was super fun to be able to just relax and enjoy myself in between all of the school work and job applications. I'll miss date parties, but I'm so excited about what's coming up in the future!

5. Nashville Foodie
Last weekend, Michael and I went to Nashville with his sister and her boyfriend. We had an absolute blast even though it was a little chilly. My absolute favorite part of visiting Nashville (besides all of the country music) is the food! My personal favorite place to go is Graze for brunch, but we tried out a few new spots that I will be adding to my must-go-to list! If you're interested in seeing my food adventures, check out my foodie instagram @peepmyplants!

We're heading back to Nashville for Thanksgiving, so be sure to keep a look out for the next SDWS because I'm sure I'll give you all the deets on the yummy vegan thanksgiving meal we make!

xo,
Sarah
