Stop Doubting Your Greatness

Hey y'all!

Do you ever just feel like no matter what you do, you'll never be as good as the next person? It's hard not to compare ourselves to others, and unfortunately, it's a part of human nature. But what if I told you that living the life you've always wanted was possible?

Now I'm not going to get all cheesy and try to sell you some B.S. guide to happiness and self-confidence. I'm nowhere near qualified enough for that. But I really want you to feel like you're unstoppable. I think it's so insane that we spend all this time focusing on little things like a B- on a paper when there are things like clouds and rain and trees that are absolutely AMAZING, that we don't appreciate every day. Do I sound crazy yet?

I just think that if we all stopped caring a little less about the little things, and focused more on things like how successful we can (and should) be with what we're passionate about, then the world would be an even more amazing place than it already is. I promise that you still have that spark in you. Light that fire that makes you want to be creative, and run with it. Paint that picture, take more photos, give more speeches, whatever makes you feel great, DO IT!

2018 has awakened something inside of my soul that I want to share with everyone. It has made me realize that I should share my messages with the world, and to anyone who will listen. I just want everyone to be as happy as they can be because happy people make the world a better place.

I still want to share fashion and college posts, but I want them to add value to whoever reads it. I want them to think "okay I can do something with this" instead of simply forgetting a day later that they ever read my post. I hope you're as excited as I am.

  1. I love this Sarah! I find myself quite often thinking I'm not good enough as a designer, because I'm self taught...but I know I can help others with the skills I have, I've never felt a truer purpose, I just have to give myself a little reminder every so often!

  2. SO true. I'm always doubting my skills and comparing myself to others. Adopting this as my 2018 mantra. Thank you for sharing!

  4. "Comparison is the thief of joy." I always try to remember that everyone goes at their own pace and starting lines and finishing lines are different for everyone.
Great post, thanks for writing this!

    1. Isn't that the truth? Being yourself is the only option we have, so we might as well embrace it! Thanks Deborah :)
