My Affordable Fall Fashion Picks Under $50

Hey y'all!

I recently asked over on my Facebook page what y'all wanted to see more of on the blog. I received a comment from one of my besties saying she wanted to see affordable fashion! A lot of my readers are college girls, so I know we all want to look banging on a budget.

I'm the type of girl that really hates to spend a ton of money on clothes (I'd rather spend it on food sorry not sorry). If you're interested in learning my secrets, then keep reading because I'm going to share with you a few of my favorite fall pieces, plus some tips on how to save money!

Plaid Scarf $22 | Flare Sleeve Sweater $39 | Hooded Anorak $41 (On Sale!) | Black Fold-over Clutch $15 (On Sale!) | Peep toe booties $25 (On Sale!) | Black Fidler Cap $42 | Beanie $26 | Cream Cardigan $35 (On Sale!) | Black Western Booties $30 (On Sale!) | Western Belt $47 (On Sale!) | Round Lens Sunglasses $40 | Circle Ring $10 (On Sale!) | Bar Necklace $14

Tip #1 : Make Use of Poshmark
If you're looking for a higher end item that you wouldn't mind buying preowned, then you need to download this app right away. I buy a lot of my Show Me Your Mumu pieces on there and they're always in great condition for a really great price!
Tip #2 : Shop at Discount Stores
Hit up TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, whatever you've got. I can always find such great pieces for so much off the original price tag. Just make sure you're in the mood to rake through a bunch of stuff. It can be overwhelming, but make it a date with your best gal pal and it'll be so much more fun!
Tip #3 : Save vs Splurge
Do you really need a $100 pair of over the knee boots? If you find yourself wearing them every time you go out, then maybe it's worth the investment for you. But if you only wear them every once in a while, opt for a cheaper pair. Believe it or not, I just purchased a pair of OTK boots from Walmart for only $25! They're actually really good quality, so definitely consider purchasing some for yourself if you're in the market for a new pair.
Tip #4 : Borrow From Friends
We all have a friend that's up-to-date on all of the latest fashion trends. Hopefully they're nice enough to let you borrow their clothes, but if not, bribing is always a good option. I really love the idea of a clothing swap were you bring all of your clothes you no longer wear over to a friends house. They clearly do the same, and you can look through their items and score some goodies! One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Tip #5 : Repurpose Old Clothes
You might have an old t-shirt that has a few makeup stains around the neck, so you never wear it anymore. Try some DIY's to help spice up your closet. I actually turned a top into a choker shirt and I wear it even more now! It's the same shirt, just with a new cute purpose. There are so many different things to try on Pinterest, so I recommend searching for some easy tutorials!
So there you have it! I shared some of my favorite fall pieces all under $50 that I've had my eye on. Fall fashion is definitely my favorite because it's all about the layers and neutral colors. I hope my tips helped you and inspired you to try some new things!
