Hey y'all!

I am so beyond thrilled to announce that I'm teaming up with CreativeLive to take a photography class! The best part? It's completely online so it fits perfectly with my busy college schedule. I plan on using whatever free time I have to sit down with my boyfriend (he helps take pics for my blog!), and learn how to "Take Amazing Photos with a DSLR".

For those of you that don’t know, CreativeLive offers more than 1,500 e-courses taught by some amazing people. They offer courses not just in photography, but money + life, crafting, and even music verticals.

Michael isn't too skilled with a DSLR in manual mode, so I usually have to set up the camera before he takes my pictures. I'm no expert either, but I'd like to think I know a little! The main reason I want to take this course is that I want to improve the angles and lighting in my pictures. It's not an easy task to identify the perfect shot.

Plus, whenever I head back to Texas in the summer, I plan on taking some engagement photos for my sister and her fiancé. This class seems like it will be helpful because it covers how to pose everything from people to food!

Michael and I are pretty competitive, so we've decided to turn this course into a challenge! Below are two pictures that we each took before our photography class. Once we complete the course, we will each take another photo and let you guys decide the winner! Nothing like a little bit of friendly competition to help get you motivated.

Want to participate? Sign up for the course and take it alongside Michael and I!

Need a bigger incentive? Use the code 'ISHARE20' to receive 20% off! (expires 5/31/2017)

I hope y'all decide to join in on the fun, but if you want to take a different course, the discount code still applies to other classes. Don't miss this great opportunity to save money and improve your photography!
