Part of my New Year's resolution is to eat a more plant-based diet or essentially eat vegan! I plan on doing some more blog posts in the near future about my decision, my favorite snacks and even some good documentaries to watch if you're considering it!
Here's a yummy smoothie recipe that's perfect for vegans and is super easy to make! I originally found this recipe on Food Network's website and just had to share with my readers, but I changed it up a tiny bit.
ALMOND MILK & BERRY SMOOTHIE
Yields:
→ 2 glasses
Ingredients:
→ 1/2 medium banana, cut into chunks
→ 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
→ 1/4 cup frozen strawberries
→ 1/4 cup frozen mango (chopped into chunks)
→ 2 cups of unsweetened vanilla-flavored almond milk
Instructions:
→ Mix all ingredients in a blender until combined, about 40 seconds. Serve in a glass and enjoy!
Tips:
→ I use refrigerated almond milk to make sure the drink is cold.
→ Add some granola on top for a nice crunch. My personal favorite is Nature's Path Organic Pumpkin Flaxseed (shown in the picture!)
YUM! I'm not vegan but I could definitely benefit from this recipe!
