Sit Down with Sarah | Vol. 5

Hey y'all!

My life hasn't been really that exciting lately, so I've struggled to come up with 5 things that are really important to share with my readers. That's why I held off on posting a new Sit Down with Sarah because I don't just want to publish things just because I feel like I have to. It's important for me to be genuine with y'all!

1. Puppy Love
Since I haven't done a SDWS in a while, you wouldn't know I got a dog! She's a one-year-old Chihuahua-terrier mix, but that's all a guess since she was a stray. Her name is Peanut, but I call her P for short. She's basically like having a stuffed animal because she sleeps 90% of the time, and all she wants to do is snuggle. Her and Denny (my cat) are best friends, and they'll wrestle and chase each other. She's the perfect addition to Michael and I's little family!

2. YouTube?
Michael always tells me that I watch way too many YouTube videos. But I actually grew up making videos with friends, and I loved it so much. I'm a person who loves to be creative, especially using technology (my artwork isn't so hot). I tried making some videos a few years ago, but I'm really considering starting to take it seriously. I love watching vlogs, but I'm not sure if my life is interesting enough. Let me know if you'd be interested!

3. Parent's Weekend
My dad is one of my best friends, and I miss him so much whenever I'm at school in Alabama. I hadn't seen my parents since August, but that was for my sister's wedding so it was a little hectic. Luckily, my dad was in Louisiana, and decided to make the extra journey to come visit me! Funny enough, we've taken a picture in front of this elephant for the past 3 years.

4. My First Spin Class
My bestie, Kristen, and I tried out our first spin class last night! It was definitely hard, but I'm not as sore today as I thought I would be. I genuinely had a good time, even though I thought I was dying for a few minutes. We're planning on going twice a week, so wish us luck on our fitness journey! I'm really hoping that we stick with it because ya girl wants to get in shape.

I totally recommend going, even if you're a little hesitant. We were both super nervous that we were going to look dumb in front of all the people who knew what they were doing. We picked two bikes in the back row, and I didn't feel even the least bit self-conscious. The lights are dim and everyone is in their own zone, so there really is no judgment. It's all up to you how hard you want to make your class, so if you want to take it easy the first time, no one will know but you. Try it out if you've been considering it!

5. World Series Win
If ya didn't know, now ya know. I grew up going to Astros games with my family. I'm not saying we went a ton, but I definitely do have quite a few memories of eating ice cream out of a hat while cheering on the 'stros at Minute Maid Park. I'm so proud of the Astros for not only making it to the World Series but the fact that they played such an amazing series. Again, I'm not a huge baseball fan, but when your hometown wins, you can't help but be proud!

  1. I love watching vlogs. Margot Lee does a great job of editing her vlogs. Monica Church's vlogs are beautiful. You should definitely try making a few!
