Sit Down with Sarah | Vol. 3

Hey y'all!

Happy Friday, friends! Sorry I missed last week's SDWS! Junior year has been so unbelievably busy. I'm not sure if I love it or hate it, but missing out on posting definitely does suck.

Anyways, I feel like I have so much to update y'all on, so let's get started!

1. Balayage
No clue why, but I've always wanted to be blonde. But I'm also a totally low-maintenance kind of girl. So the perfect option for me was to get balayage! I'm absolutely in love with it. I got it done last Friday, and I still am surprised when I see myself in the mirror with light colored hair!

2. Health-Ade Kombucha
If you love your gut (which you should), then you should be drinking kombucha (come-boot-cha). It's a fermented probiotic tea. Sounds a little weird, right? But it's so good for your body. If you're interested, I definitely recommend doing some research on the health benefits of drinking the 'buch. If you're looking to try it, my absolute favorite kind is the pink lady apple flavor. It's perfect for fall because it tastes exactly like apples! I got mine from Trader Joe's and I'm pretty sure they sell it at Whole Foods too!

3. Roasted Veggies
I've been eating roasted veggies like crazy lately, so I thought I had to include them. If you want to make a super quick, yummy and healthy meal, then take some notes! Preheat your oven to 425 F, cut up some veggies (I usually do brussel sprouts cut into halves, zucchini, broccoli, and chickpeas), drizzle on some olive oil, shake some salt, pepper and garlic powder on those bad boys, and then bake them for 25 minutes -- move them around halfway. To make them a meal, I usually make some brown rice and add some soyaki sauce!

4. Mr. Robot
I have a habit of watching multiple shows at a time. Right now it's Friends when I'm studying, Dexter to re-watch (mostly because Michael hasn't seen it and I love it), Game of Thrones sometimes, and lately, I've added Mr. Robot to that mix. If you have amazon prime, you can watch it for free! If you don't have amazon prime, you can sign up here for a 30-day free trial.
It's a really good show, but can be a little confusing. I didn't think I would like it at first because it's about technology and how it affects the world, but it's got a lot of good twists!

5. Big Little Reveal!
Last Sunday, I added 3 new members to my sorority family. Being a part of a sorority is great because you get to have so many sisters, but making them apart of your actual family is so special. I'm so happy to have such great girls to be my grand-littles! I can't believe it!
