LUSH Review: The Golden Egg

Hey y'all!

Being back home for spring break was awesome because I got to visit my favorite store ever, LUSH! Not to mention it was nice actually having a place to take a bath. So you better believe that I went in and bought an Easter-themed goodie!

I saw the "Golden Egg" and I knew I had to have it. Not only is it my favorite color, but it's covered in GLITTER! And when I say covered, I'm not kidding. I had it stuck to my fingers for hours after picking it up.

According to LUSH, this product is described as:
"Creamy honey-toffee luxury. How do you like your eggs? Toffee-scented with glittering gold and packed full of fair trade cocoa butter? Soak in a dazzling bath of moisturizing olive oil and golden luster until your skin feels softer than caramel and smells more scrumptious than anything from Mr. Wonka's factory. Uplifting bergamot and sweet, wild orange oils help to tone and brighten the skin, and give a sweet fruitiness to this most luxurious soak."
So this product is a bath bomb melt. That means that it works like a regular bath bomb and will change the bathwater a different color BUT it also has a melty center which leaves your skin moisturized. I was a bit skeptical but I definitely noticed a difference in my skin. It had such a nice silky-smooth feeling to it that I kept making people feel my leg, saying "feel how smooth!"

Unfortunately, the color that the water turns is not very aesthetically pleasing. It's a yellow-orange mixture, so it's definitely not "insta-worthy" but the egg itself is. Remember that since this product is for Easter, it is limited edition! So if you're looking to try out a new bath bomb, check this one out! You won't be disappointed.

Pros:
  Moisturizing
☻  Long-lasting
  GLITTER

Cons:
☻   Limited edition
☻   Color of bathwater

  3. I just tried the Golden Egg this weekend and had SO much glitter stuck to me just from putting it into the bathtub...haha! I agree with you about the water color being a con...not the prettiest bath you want to get into, but I loved the smell too!
